Security is good. The room was comfortable and a little more spacious than expected. Nice shower. Located very near Gaisano Mall/City. Also located near Lemketkai Center (the largest shopping center in Northern Mindanao. Liked the fact that this hotel does not shut off the electricity when one leaves the room (somewhat common in the Philippines). So electronic devices still charge and things stay cold in the mini-refrigerator in the room.
Two things I did not like about the Marigold. Our room was noisy. The location of the room was on the corner of the building so we heard the busy street traffic and the school next door. I do not know if all rooms are like this but room 422 was loud. There is no exterior designated smoking area. I do not like smoking in the room - so I usually go outside to have a cigarette in the morning and before bed. The only place to smoke outside is in front of the hotel - so every taxi driver and jeepney is honking to get one to ride, as well as a lot of foot traffic on the road. Not a very relaxing way to grab a smoke.

The staff were friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile. the location was great, with easy access to nearby attractions and shopping areas. the warm water in the shower was a nice touch.
The noise from the street was unbearable, especially at night. the single-glazed windows did not close properly, making it feel like we were sleeping on the street.

I like that it's quite near malls and other establishments. It's a strategic location. There is also wifi access.
The room is quite small. On my last day, there was a power disruption and the generator could not function. We have to take the stairs. The screams of the students from the adjacent school are heard in the room. Breakfast that they serve is only bread and butter..

It was a wonderful stay. The staff were accomodating and friendly. We got a room with no windows which is good since we don't like hearing the noise of the street. The room was spacioud and really cozy and luckily, we got in on a cheaper cost than what we booked. We haven't encountered any problem as well. I love the place and I will recommend it to my family and friends. Transportation was so easy since it's right at the heart of CDO's busy district and the best thing is. Great dining places are just blocks away.

The staff was friendly and willing to help at all times. The hotel's location was great, close to several shops and restaurants. The room provided clean bedsheets and towels.
The room was quite small and the bathroom had a strange smell coming from the toilet. Plus, the breakfast was hardly worth mentioning- stale bread and lukewarm coffee.

There where 2 very nice girls that worked on the desk that did try to make my stay as comfortable as they could under the poor conditions. Its not a hotel its a boarding house right on the main street
Everything im sorry it is a old boarding house that gets used for meetings and confrences, its right on the main street and very noisy all night there is no view the bed was smaller in the delux room then in the normal room its very overpriced the food is terrible, and some of the staff dont like overseas people with the exeption of 2 nice lady staff

I got discount with the room The staffs are helpful. The room is not too bad.
I still think with the full price its still a bit expensive in regards to the condition of the room. The ambiance of the hotel is not very good. A bit gloomy and dark. The pillows are too soft rendering it useless.

I had a surprisingly great experience at this hotel. the value for money was incredible. The prices were very reasonable and well worth it for what I got. Secondly, the attention to detail was commendable. The staff was friendly and the basic amenities were all in good condition. Lastly, the location was ideal. It was close to the Divisoria Shops area, making it convenient for shopping and exploring the city.
No improvements needed, everything was great.
